Kourin Ni Tensai Chapter 1: The Peculiar Events of Asabi Town.

Chapter 1: The Peculiar Events of Asabi Town
Tonight was a night of meetings for a young man in his early twenties, who stood in the light of a streetlamp, clad in a black over coat. Visible breath left the man’s mouth as he stood in the quiet of the night, with only the sound of snow crumpling in the distance to keep him company. He had come to Asabi town because of a friend’s request, and now he wondered why they had to meet so late. If it wasn’t bad enough that the mid Febuary weather showed no signs of spring, he received a text that told him that his friend would be a little late. Looking at it again, he brushed his short black hair behind his ears and looked up to the full moon that stared back with a yellow glow. The light faded through his black framed glasses, and calmed the sharp brown eyes that expressed his issues with the midnight meeting. A sudden crunching of snow called his attention away from the sky and made him look to a shadow to his left that stood just a bit out of sight to be recognized.

Nuut Wereld Chapter 1: The Girl with the Scarlet Eyes

Prologue
Myths and legends are something that exists in all cultures, and I would say that no one enjoys them more than the starry-eyed children that hear them from their parents do. When I was young, my parents would always tell me the tale of two worlds. The world where progress in technology prospered, that became a mechanical marvel, and the world where the magic of yore lived eternal. Each was said to have their own marvels that would make the denizens of the opposing world stare in awe, but my mother and father would say that only the world we lived on existed. As a starry-eyed child I couldn’t help but wonder, if our world exist, why can’t the other?

Tengoku Senshi Chapter 1: A Business of My Own

Rain was pouring down hard onto Kumano town, washing away its nuanced silence and shrouding the streets in a murky mist. Through the hushed town two people moved, both siblings and both bruised from a journey that had just ended. If it was any other time they would be walking strong, showing no signs of fatigue or injury lest they be seen as incompetent bodyguards, but this time things were different. Things were different, and as one of them was currently thinking, things would continue to change from there. While leaning on his younger sister's shoulders Tsutomu Tomoya was wobbling back home. Both of them were masters of their blades but he was stronger, though the bandaged wounds that covered his body would have people believe a different tale. The job they  finished had been tough, and unfortunately for the injured young man, the train ride back to Kumano and long walk through cobblestone streets had offered no solace, but  the wooden sign that could now be seen through condensation's murk did. As he and his sister approached it, Tsutomu took a look down at the wooden triangle and laughed at an in-joke between himself and his long dead father. Feelings of nostalgia overwhelmed him at the thought; the pride his father had in the title "Hogosha no medama," and the laugh his father had when Tsutomu read it as "Parent's eyeball." The nostalgia made Tsutomu smile but that smile could only last a moment as he remembered his decision; as he remember that from this point on things would be different.
